“Made to Crave” by Lysa Terkhurst

Has food become more about frustration than fulfillment? The NY Times Bestselling release Made to Crave is the missing link between a woman’s desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. Author Lysa TerKeurst personally understands the battle that women face. In Made to Crave, she will help you:

·         Break the cycle of “I’ll start again on Monday,” and feel good about yourself today.

·         Stop agonizing over numbers on the scale and make peace with your body.

·         Replace rationalization that leads to diet failure with wisdom that leads to victory.

·         Reach your healthy goals and grow closer to God through the process.

Book Studies are for everyone!  Wherever you are at in life - it is wonderful to bring other women along with you on the journey.

Here is a photo from our Spring Study: "If You Want To Walk On Water, You've Got To Get Out of the Boat!"

A GREAT group of women that celebrated with a Garden Party at the end of our study!

A Confident Heart

Friday's from 11:30 - 1pm beginning Jan. 27th for 5 weeks through Feb. 24th
Liquid Assets meeting room Sartell
Cost: 35$  (Book purchase on your own)
Class limited to 6

Confidence is defined as:
1) having strong belief or full assurance; sure: confident of fulfillment.
2) sure of oneself; having no uncertainty about one's own abilities, correctness, successfulness, etc.; self-confident; bold: a confident speaker, and
3) excessively bold; presumptuous.

In A Confident Heart: How To Start Doubting Yourself & Live In The Security of God's Love, Renee Swope tackles a topic that plagues many women - regardless of age - doubt.

She strives to help women exchange their doubt for confidence, hope and more.

Swope's writing style flows off the page, almost straight from her heart. There's an honesty that is intriguing, and warm and inviting.

Each chapter includes a section inviting the reader to pray God's promises, as well as an assortment of questions to encourage reflection and discussion.

In fact, her "Seven Day Doubt Diet" - available free, as a seven-day, emailed resource - might give you the taste you need to dive into the entire book.

Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted - Member Book by Priscilla Shirer provides a personal study experience five days a week, leader helps, and viewer guides for the group video sessions of this in-depth women's Bible study.

What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! In this 7-session Bible study, Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.

"John Ortberg takes Jesus call to abundant living seriously, joyfully, and realistically.  He believes human transformation is genuinely possible, and he describes its process in sane and practical ways."  -- Richard Foster

You Can Live a Deeper, More Spiritual Life Right Where You Are. The heart of Christianity is transformation---a relationship with God that impacts not just our 'spiritual lives,' but every aspect of living!

The Life You've Always Wanted offers modern perspectives on the ancient path of the spiritual disciplines. But this is more than just a book about things to do to be a good Christian. It's a road map toward true transformation that starts not with the individual but with the object of the journey---Jesus Christ. As with a marathon runner, the secret to winning the race lies not in trying harder, but in training consistently---training with the spiritual disciplines. The disciplines are neither taskmasters nor an end in themselves. Rather they are exercises that build strength and endurance for the road of growth. Whether you have journeyed in Faith for a long time, or just seeking a new path...this class will challenge and inspire you!

Paved with humor and sparkling anecdotes, The Life You've Always Wanted is an encouraging and challenging approach to a Christian life that's worth living---a life on the edge that fills an ordinary world with new meaning, hope, change, and joy.

“If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Go To Get Out of the Boat” by John Ortberg

Winner of the 2002 Christianity Today Book Award! You're One Step Away from the Adventure of Your Life Deep within you lies the same faith and longing that sent Peter walking across the wind-swept Sea of Galilee toward Jesus. In what ways is the Lord telling you, as he did Peter, 'Come'? John Ortberg invites you to consider the incredible potential that awaits you outside your comfort zone. Out on the risky waters of faith, Jesus is waiting to meet you in ways that will change you forever, deepening your character and your trust in God. The experience is terrifying. It's thrilling beyond belief. It's everything you'd expect of someone worthy to be called Lord. The choice is yours to know him as only a water-walker can, aligning yourself with God's purpose for your life in the process. There's just one requirement: If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat.

Here is the description of this study: The Me I Want to Be by John Ortberg will help you discover spiritual vitality like never before. But if God has a perfect vision for your life, why does spiritual growth seem so difficult? John Ortberg has some intriguing answers to that question, and he has organized his thoughts and God's words into a straightforward and timely guide for living your best life in The Me I Want to Be. This book will show how God's perfect vision for you starts with a powerful promise. All those who trust in God 'will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit' (Jeremiah 17:7-8). Ortberg urges you to recognize your brokenness, understand that God is the project manager, and follow His directions. The author first helps gauge your spiritual health and measure the gap between where you are now and where God intends you to be.
